Squ4re Deal is the Fixer.

Herm “SQU4RE DEAL” Dawson is the connector inside the HecticMindstate ecosystem — Creative Consultant, Media Director, the strategist who takes ideas from concept to execution. The name is the job description: he puts the square on the circle, aligning people, projects, and opportunities until the impossible shape fits.

West side of Detroit raised. Renaissance High, then Communication Design and Strategy at the College for Creative Studies, with a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship — formal training wrapped around an instinctive hustle that was already running. At fourteen he was selling customized AF1-inspired sneakers online. That grew into SQU4RE BLOCK TEES, a boutique line that fused design sense with business sense. Along the way he picked up the informal titles that follow him still: The Mouth Piece. The Dot Connector.

The door into HecticMindstate was family — his cousin is Bolie Jackson, the Architect from spotlight two. One introduction to JAMES I.V. later, the fit was obvious. Now he shapes visual identity, messaging, and partnerships across the whole operation, making sure every project lands cohesive, intentional, and positioned to connect. The handshake, the ledger, the late-night logistics. The reason the Signal reaches you at all.

The personal file runs deep Detroit: indie film obsessive, distinctive-storytelling appreciator, “Bad Boys” Pistons era loyalist, Shinola collector — all of it grounded by a practice of Nichiren Buddhism that balances the drive with focus.

That’s the Collective, in full. Five names. One Frequency. The masthead reads JAMES I.V., but now you know every voice in the room — and the room stays open. HECTICMINDS holds all five files.
